Doctor Xavier RAINGEVAL, intensive care anaesthetist in charge of the ADRALE Training and Research Centre for Echoguided Loco-Regional Anaesthesia (LRA) at the Jouvenet Clinic in Paris, which has been welcoming trainees from all over the world for over 18 years. Author of several manuals on the transmission of ALR fundamentals, posters and smartphone applications distributed at various congresses, workshops, ESRA France days and the ALR University Diploma (Ile de France). Head of the Training of Trainers (TOT) programme in West Africa, supported by the Chain of Hope, of which he is a director, with over 150 practitioners trained per year in more than 10 countries, in partnership with the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva), MSF Paris (Médecin sans Frontière) and around ten Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Societies (Togo, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Nigeria, Burundi, Rwanda, etc.). Co-author of several international publications on LRA, particularly in low-resource settings, as well as on new approaches to LRA in knee and shoulder surgery. Involved in the drafting of guides and tools on an environmental approach to the practice of anaesthesia worldwide. Member of the Francophonie Steering Committee, in partnership with the SFAR Board, bringing together more than 40 French-language anaesthesia and intensive care societies. Coordinator of working groups on the delegation of tasks for a group of 6 African LRA societies, in partnership with the ICRC and MSF.
